PR bloggers -- going to NewComm?

Are you a PR blogger who's going to the NewComm Forum in March?

I know lots of folks have already announced they'll be there ... Phil Gomes, Mike Manuel, Mason Cole, John Cass, Jeff Risley, Neville Hobson, Shel Holtz, Brian Oberkirch, David Parmet, Phillip Young ... man, am I missing anyone? If so, I apologize.

When you're there, if you get a chance to meet Allison Gower, please introduce yourself and say hello. Allison is a client of mine and a panelist at the conference, speaking on new advertising devices in the March 3 session titled "New Advertising Case Studies."

If you read my blog regularly, you've seen a little about Allison's company, qtags, which is rapidly gaining traction among advertisers as a way to integrate text messaging with online communication and print/broadcast/display advertising.

She's also a real business blogger ... someone who stepped out of her comfort zone and started a blog as a way to communicate about her company and the whole process of managing a startup.

Allison's blog has really helped her open doors and make key relationships, so she has a good story to tell. I know as PR bloggers, we tend to spend a lot of time looking inward at one another ... it's great to actually see a business owner putting into practice all the things we preach about constantly.

In fact, Allison actually has TWO business blogs, as she also runs a specialty packaging company in addition to qtags.

Plus, she's a great person to talk with ... so say hello if you see her.

Quick hit: qtags is also a silver sponsor of the forum, and as part of the company's involvement, every attendee will have a qtag on his/her name badge (for example, Allison's is agower). Text the qtag to 78247 and you'll get a link to the attendee's name, telephone number and e-mail. Speakers' qtags will also include links to more information on their presentations.
